Ways to Serve

 for more information on any of the opportunities listed below:


Adult and children choirs practice on Wednesdays -children’s (age 4 and up) from
6:00-6:45pm, and adult (high school and up) from 7:00-8:00pm.  Choirs take a break
during the summer.


The major function of greeters is to welcome everyone with a warm and genuine
greeting to our church.


The Fellowship Hour Hospitality team can always use friendly hosts. Treats are
donated by church members.

Praise Team
The Cornerstones practice Monday nights from 6:30-7:45 pm and perform on the 4th
Sunday of each month. They are looking for a bass/acoustic guitar player and as many
singers as they can gather.  Praise Team takes a break during the summer.
Tech Loft
Training is available for anyone willing to help create slides or serve Sunday
These volunteers help make sure everyone finds a seat in the sanctuary, greet and
pass out bulletins, take up the collection and make sure everything runs smoothly
during service times.


Colona Food Pantry
The first Sunday of each month there is a grocery cart in the lobby where donations
for nonperishable food or supplies may be placed.  Items are delivered to the local


Christian Care Homeless Shelter
Once a quarter we prepare, cook and serve a meal at this Rock Island shelter.  Watch
for an opportunity to sign up and help!


Join Hands Day
In May we helped our community by gathering a group and helping
clean and spruce up locally.  Watch for next year's date in the Upcoming Events.


We support United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), a non-profit 501(c)3
organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. UMCOR’s work
includes programs and projects in disaster response, health, sustainable
agriculture, food security, relief supplies, and more.



Haiti –A trip is taken by Joylin Clark each year to work at the school.  If you are
interested in helping her team please contact the office.
