The Colona United Methodist Church is actively supporting relief efforts in Haiti, through missions already in place as part of our outreach program, and through disaster relief efforts coordinated through the United Methodist Ministries church wide programs.  You can help with both your prayers and donations.

Haiti Mission Trip

As a church family, we continue to reach out to the children of Trouin, Haiti through sponsorship and gifts.

On February 27^th a team of three (Joylin Clark, Sheila Westlund, & Jonathan Clark) will visit the island village for 7 days of continued need assessment.  A Mission to

help improve the earthquake damaged Village of Trouin.  We plan to construct 5 more benches for the church, visit all the sponsor children and a family in need of a house.  From donations we are taking with us -  hardware, tools, men’s slacks, shirts & shoes, 200 toothbrushes, 80 tubes of toothpaste, and many bars of soap.

Thanks to those of you who sent cards and gifts to the sponsored children.  It means so much to them.  Please remember, we still have 10 children in need of sponsorship.
