Church Information

The congregation of Colona UMC has a vision.  We want to reach out to the community of Colona and their spiritual needs.  We have studied and prayed about how to meet these needs.  Our Church facilities have been thoroughly evaluated and found to be inadequate to fully enable us to implement our vision.

We have prayerfully discerned that God is leading our Church to stretch beyond our comfort zone to extend the offer of Christian Love to our community; to accomplish this; our facilities need to be expanded.

We are embarking upon a Scriptural Funding Campaign to help guide us through this major  project.  Building In Faith  is based on four principles:  Stewardship, Sacrifice, Commitment and Involvement.

We ask you to commit yourself  to praying and asking, " What is God calling me to give, over and above my regular giving?"

My Personal Journey

To A Sacrificial Commitment

In arriving at my decision to give to my Lord, and in support of the Scriptural Fuding Campaign of my Church, I will honestly consider and resolve thise questions:

1)  Have I sincerely prayed about my giving until I received an answer from heaven?

2)  Will this be truly sacrifical for me and my family?

3)  Am I willing to be obediaent to God and rise to a higher standard of sacrifical giving?

4)  Does my heart respond with joy to my sacrificial gift?

How will it change my lifestyle?  Will it rearrange my priorities?  What will I give up for my lord?

"Each person should give what they have decided in their heart to give not reluctantly or under complusion, for God loves a cheerful giver."  II Corinthians 9:7
